These pictures were taken at the back of an old church a few blocks from my apartment in the Old West End

"Public Art"

This Image was taken from an old concrete pillar at a park near downtown Toledo.   It looked like there was something attached to it at one time, possibly bronze which would explain the green patina stain.   Now all that's left is this beautiful "painting".

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice cream!!!

Bruce and I stopped at this little ice cream joint while we were up in Owen Sound, Canada.  Being the exhibit tech's that we are, we couldn't resist stopping at a place with a sign like this!  Now that's a tasty tape job!  the ice cream wasn't bad either!

Barn House

I spotted this "barn home" down in Hocking Hills.  The grain bin entrance is what caught my eye.   I love the house but it could use some trees and landscaping to "soften" it up a bit.

Trip to Owens Sound, Ontario Canada

Bruce, my boss at the Toledo Zoo, and I recently returned from a five day trip to Owen Sound, Ontario Canada.   We delivered and set up our Dragon's Exhibit at the Grey Roots Museum and Archive located in Owen Sound (North of Toronto) on the Georgian Bay of Lake Huron at the base of the Bruce Peninsula.   On the drive up, in our bright yellow 26 foot Penske truck, we traveled Rt. 21, also known as the Kings Highway, along the coast of Lake Huron all the way to Owen Sound.   The weather was beautiful and the views weren't too bad either!  We were amazed at the number of huge windmills we saw, in some areas there were literally hundreds of them for as far as the eye could see, they were like windmill farms!
Our hotel was right on Georgian Bay so I was able to get some great morning and sunset shots of the bay.   I would love to go up there on my own some day and visit more of the Bruce Peninsula but until then these pictures will have to do.  Enjoy!

Log home and barn

I spotted this log home and barn, Amy-Marie took the picture, along Rt. 374 in Hocking Hills.   I love it!

Trip to Hocking Hills

This past weekend, Amy-Marie and I took a trip to the Hocking Hills region of Southeast Ohio, neither one of us had been there before.   We were both amazed and awed by how breathtaking it was, who knew Ohio could be so beautiful!!   Our home base for the weekend was a little cabin in the woods...yeah yeah I know, we really "roughed it" but hey that hot tub on the deck sure felt good after a day of hiking!!   These pictures were taken on our hikes to Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle's Hollow, Cantwell Cliffs, Cedar Falls and The Rock House.
